Connected AI apps
Use Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app over your own Whispyr leads, with the same access you have in the app.
If your team already works in Claude or ChatGPT, you can connect that app to Whispyr and ask it about your leads directly: "which of my leads went quiet this week", "prepare me for the call with Sara", "log the call I just had with Ahmed". The app sees exactly what you see in Whispyr, nothing more, and every question and every change it makes is recorded.
This page explains what a connected app can do, what data it receives, and how to stay in control. The step-by-step setup for each app lives in Whispyr itself, under Settings → Integrations → AI Connections.
What a connected app can do
When you connect an app you choose how much it may do. Three levels:
- Read only. The app can look at leads, activity, your team and market data. Nothing changes in Whispyr.
- Read + work leads. The app can also log calls, notes, meetings and reminders, and change the status, priority, qualification and tags of leads you hold.
- Read + work + create/reassign. The app can also create leads and move leads between members.
Your admin decides which roles may connect at all and the highest level each role may choose. If your role is not allowed, AI Connections tells you so in one sentence, and you can ask your admin.
Whatever the level, the app acts as you. It can never see a lead you cannot see, and every rule that applies to you in Whispyr applies to it: call-attempt requirements before a status change, assignment permissions, duplicate checks. It cannot send WhatsApp messages, delete anything, run bulk actions, or change organization settings.
What leaves Whispyr
Only what you ask for, and only through your own connection:
- Lead details, notes, reminders, meetings and call history for leads you can see, when the app asks about them.
- Your name and role in the organization, so the app knows who it is working for.
- The status vocabulary, sources, campaigns and market data it needs to answer.
Some things never leave:
- Phone numbers and email addresses are masked in every list, search and summary, and when the app opens one lead on its own. Notes and other free text are not changed.
- WhatsApp message text is never shared. The app can see that a conversation exists and when messages were exchanged, not what was said.
- Your password, your billing details and other members' private data.
Whatever the app receives is handled by that app's provider under its own privacy policy. Whispyr does not send your data to the provider on its own: the app fetches it through your connection, when you use it.
Everything is recorded
Every change a connected app makes lands on the lead's timeline with a "via Claude" (or ChatGPT, or the app's own name) badge next to your name, so your team can always tell which actions came from an app. Every request, including plain questions, is written to an audit log your organization's admins can read: who asked, from which app, what was requested, and when.
Staying in control
- Your connections. AI Connections lists every app you have connected, the membership it acts as, its level, when you connected it and when it was last used.
- Revoke any time. Revoking a connection stops the app immediately. You can connect it again whenever you like.
- Admins can revoke too. Your organization's admin sees every member's connections and can revoke any of them, for example when someone leaves.
- One app, one membership. If you belong to more than one organization, each connection acts as one membership. Connect again to add another.
Which apps work
Whispyr is built on the Model Context Protocol, the open standard these apps use to connect to tools. Claude (web, desktop, mobile and Claude Code) and ChatGPT have guided setup in Whispyr. Any other app that supports the standard over HTTP with sign-in, such as Cursor or VS Code, connects with the same server address.
Some apps ask you to confirm before a change is made; others act as soon as you ask. ChatGPT can make changes within the access you grant. Choose Read only to prevent changes to your leads. Pick the level that matches how much you want to trust the app, and remember that everything it does is on the timeline.
